Waiting for the M60
It's not everyday you see a guy dressed like this with a baby girl strapped to his chest and carrying her diaper bag. I found it out of place and endearing.
I am not sure if he knew, I was trying to be sly. I think his look was more: did she just take my picture? I tried to make it look like I was playing with my camera and it accidentally fired.

I love it! I thought I was the only one who draped a blanket over my baby when strapped to my stomach. And I tried so hard to find a gender-neutral diaper bag so that dh could have no excuses for not carrying it. Perhaps I didn't have to try so hard. Very endearing.

If he's anything like my husband, he's annoyed over the abundance of pink. :-)

Does the way he's dressed mean something? He seems like he's dressed just fine to me?

I agree with Tatiana...I don't get the significance. Its a dude with a baby? Why should we be surprised to see fathers taking care of their kids?

I wasn't surprised to see a guy taking care of his kid. Every day I see all kinds of people...hundreds of them....and I see guys dressed like this all the time...and I can honestly say in over 4 years of living in the biggest city in the world, I have never seen this site....SUCH a DUDE converging with SUCH a baby girl. It was two extremes coming together...and the reason it was out of place to me is because I have honestly never seen it before.

I'm with you Kage, this is not something you see everyday. I love it and have never seen anything in NY either. Tatiana, he is dressed just fine and he looks very handsome, especially with the baby and the blanket. Do you see this everyday?

I think it's the expression "a guy dressed like this" that strikes some funnies. Kage made a point of his dress and a lot of guys dress this way. I've seen many dads dressed this way, caring for their child. Do the dads you see wear a suit and tie or what?

Maybe I am way off but It sounds like some of you are insinuating that Kage put up this picture because she has some sort of racial issues. Or that she doesn't believe that a father should take care of his children. Once again people seem to being wanting to infer the very worst in this post.
In our Queens neighborhood, I hardly ever saw dads carrying around their babies. When I did I always thought it was endearing. This picture is particularly interesting because most men wouldn't want to carry around a pink diaper bag and pink blanket (at least in our neighborhood). Nice to see he wasn't bothered by it. I appreciated the juxtaposition you mentioned, Kage.

I like the binky hooked on his finger. . .good for him..
Although he doesn't look so excited about getting his picture taken.
