Congrats Michelle!
One of the Tales "in utero" babies has been born! Michelle gave birth to a healthy baby boy of February 29th. Yes, that's right, on Leap Day. We all told her how cool it was. She's not so sure. If you think it's cool too, leave a comment. If not, keep it to yourself.
Congratulations Michelle!
Congratulations Michelle!

How could it not be cool? A new baby is precious no matter when their birthday comes.

Today we went to the baptism of a boy who was born Leap day in 2000! He has finally caught on to what it means and says things like "I can't clean my room, I'm only 2!" Plus, you get to decide each year when you feel celebrating their birthday.

Congratulations, Michelle! I had so many people say to me this year that Feb 29th should be a holiday since it only happens once every four years. How fun it will be for your family when it does come around. Good luck adjusting to life with three. Can't wait to meet him!

It's totally cool. How many other people get to pick what day their birthday is on(Feb 28 OR March 1)each year? And they get to wear those witty shirts that say things like "I was born on leap day and now I can't drink till I'm 84"

I mean, us regular folk could wear them, but we'd be lying.....

Marian--we have been calling T "little man" for a long time and now, calling the baby "little man" too. But, T decided today that he should be "medium man".

Leap day is awesome. I had a February birthday and felt special just because the whole month of Feb. is so cool and special.

We call our 8 year old little man sometimes. So new baby in 7 days might need to be "little guy." Might be hard for your older boy to have his nickname completely taken, so make sure you sometimes call him little man, even if it is a nickname for both.

It seems pretty cool to me. Just a little something that makes him extra special!
